Tiberu Constantin Florescu
Arch. Florescu, PhD is the Dean of the Faculty of Urban Planning at the “lon Mincu” University of Architecture and Urban Planning in Bucharest, Romania. He is an architect with high experience in large-scale projects and urban planning with sustained activity in the field of architecture, urban design, spatial planning, research, and education. He is also, a founding member of the Center of Excellence in Planning and the Urban Planning Doctoral School.

Florescu, PhD has been a member of the National Committee for Territorial Development Ministry of Development of Romania since 2010, the Technical Committee for Urban Planning Development of Giurgiu since 2009, and the Technical Committee for Urban Planning Development of Bucharest since 2008. He is, also, a representative in the Association of European Schools of Planning (AESOP), Reseau des Ecoles d’Architecture de la France, d’Europe Centrale et Orientale (REA), International Association for Multidisciplinary Research, Philippines (IAMURE); thus, he is present in the “Who’s Who in Romania” 2008 edition.
His academic and scientific experience includes the following: specialization in urban sustainability, sustainable urban development, urban theory and urban design, risks and urban vulnerability; international and academic training, advanced studies in chairmanship in several international urban planning conferences; authorship of two (2) books and co-authorship in two (2) books on urban planning: publication of several articles /paper s in international peer-reviewed conferences; and international peer review
